About PaxFest
PaxFest was set up in 2017 as a community music event to support live music and to raise money for local charities.
PaxFest is run on a not-for-profit basis, funded by Sponsorship and Donations and is run entirely by volunteers with all proceeds going to Charity. 2025 was the 4th PaxFest and so far we have raised over £17,000!
PaxFest 2025 raises bumper amount for local charities
This year's Paxfest - a music festival held in the north Cotswolds village of Paxford every other year - has raised almost £8,000 for three local charities.
The money from the biennial event, which this year was held on Saturday, July 19, will be split between Katharine House Hospice, North Cotswolds Food Bank and Paxford Village Hall.
Organisers said they were delighted with the total raised, especially as heavy rain on the morning of the event threatened to deter some festivalgoers.
Luckily, the skies cleared and nearly 500 turned up to enjoy performances from bands including Banoffee, Amber Liadon, Closed Mondays, The Firewatchers, Natural Right and headliners Tunehead, alongside acoustic sets from Mike Maddams, Katie Maddocks, Rebecca Scott-Dale and Jack Harris.
Paxfest Organising Committee member Geoff Bolam, said: "We had 10 acts performing on the day with seven hours of live music and a very appreciative audience. We had a very good day and, as a result, managed to raise a lot of money for charity."
The organisers said they were particularly grateful to local residents who volunteered in the run-up to the event and on the day, as well as the sponsors, including local builders NJN Design & Build, DNV, Wigwam Self- Storage, Peter Clarke Estate Agents, Midcounties Co-op, Cotswolds Hideaways, Kitebrook Prep School and Broadway-based Cotswold Chiropractic, Batsford Arbouretum, Paxford Garage, Leisl Taylor Transformations, The Rotary Club Chipping Campden and Darcey & Dashwood Framing & Restoration.
Thanks also to Fresh Meat Matters and MOR Bakery who provided the food for our BBQ, North Cotswold Brewery who provided the Cask Ales for our bar, and The Fairliving Foundation for the use of their Stretch Tent.
The next PaxFest is scheduled to be held on Saturday, July 17, 2027.
